Reading I
Romans 12.5-16a
We, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.
Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honour.
Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honour.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.
Responsorial Psalm 131
GOSPEL - Luke 14:15-24
Prayer: The Alliance Canada
Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting me to Your banquet and
welcoming me into Your Kingdom. Forgive me for the times
I’ve made excuses or allowed distractions to come before You.
Help me to respond wholeheartedly to Your call.
Open my eyes to see those who need to be invited and
give me the courage to extend Your love and grace to them.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
