Prayer for broken heartedness

 Heavenly Father,

My heart is heavy and broken. You see the pain, the betrayal, and the deep grief that I feel. Lord, you know the true intent of their hearts, but I don't need to hold on to the hurt and anger. I surrender these feelings to you.

Please heal my wounded spirit and restore my sense of peace that only comes from you, not from the approval of the world. Wash away the resentment and bitterness that have taken root in my heart. Remind me that my worth is not determined by the way others treat me, but by your unfailing love and care.

I pray that you would open my eyes to see these people through your lens of grace and compassion. Where I want to condemn, give me your heart to forgive. Help me to bless those who have hurt me, just as your Word commands.

Instead of dwelling on the hurt, help me to fix my mind on your truth and promises. Surround me with friends who love you and will encourage me to grow closer to you. Thank you for being close to the brokenhearted and for saving those crushed in spirit. You make beauty from ashes and can restore what was shattered.
