Romans 15:14-21
Psalm 98
Gospel Luke 16:1-8
We can also use this parable to teach our children that we are all stewards of God's gifts, and we should administer them well. Everything we do wrong, one day will be revealed, so the best we can do is to repent and ask for forgiveness when we are not being good stewards and try to remedy our faults the best we can. They can learn from an early age to make small sacrifices, such as not eating candy one day or helping with household chores without complaining and offer that as a penance for their faults.
Ponder:
How concerned am I about the salvation of my soul? Am I quick to repent when I sin, or do I justify my errors?
Pray:
Mother Mary, help me be a good steward of the gifts the Father has entrusted to me. Help me to quickly see my faults and repent by going to Confession.
