Heavenly Father,

On this day of remembrance, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice,

and service Of those who gave their lives for peace and freedom.

We remember the men and women of every generation

who have served in times of war and conflict, and we give thanks for

their courage and selflessness.

May their bravery inspire us to work for justice, peace, and

understanding in our world today.

Bless those who continue to serve in our armed forces, and

comfort the families who have lost loved ones.

May your presence bring them peace, hope, and strength.

Lord, guide us to be instruments of your peace,

to cherish the freedoms we enjoy, and to work tirelessly for

a world where war is no more.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
